Dental Check-Up

Bi-yearly exam, x-rays, and cleanings!

Why Get a Dental Exam?

Dental exams provide an opportunity for early detection of any risks and potential problems so they can be remediated quickly and easily. This exam also allows for your dentist to discuss your current hygiene and provide suggestions to keep you healthy in the future.

How Often Should You Get a Dental Exam?

Dental exams should generally take place every six months, or twice a year. However, some patients visit more frequently to reduce gum disease.

What Can I Expect at Dental Exam?

During a typical recall visit, a dental exam and X-rays are taken to provide a more detailed summary of your oral health and to more closely identify any problems. You will also receive a thorough cleaning of your teeth, with removal of any surface stains. As well, an oral cancer screening will be performed. I will ask you questions about your current methods of dental care, such as how often you brush your teeth, and floss, as well as whether you use a toothpaste with fluoride.
